I could say a lot about today’s story, but I don’t want to editorialize. I really want Dostoyevsky’s story to speak for itself. Perhaps it suffices to say that this is not your typical feel good Christmas story. When Dostoyevsky writes a Christmas story, there is a distinct absence of Christmas cheer, but a good helping of philosophy.

And now, A Christmas Tree and a Wedding, by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
