Christians spend a lot of time working toward political change, whether through issue advocacy or electing certain candidates.
Christians also spend a lot of time trying to “redeem the culture”, through social programs and events or creating more wholesome media, music, etc.
All of these are well-intentioned attempts to lead people and society toward God. The cost, time, and energy required for these endeavors are enormous and success (however that is measured) is often slow or negligible. After all, non-believers don’t like their sin being taken away or their ungodly worldview challenged. |
