How Congress Can Make Its Mark on U.S. Foreign Policy

Category: Government & Organizations
Duration: 00:16:24
Publish Date: 2018-09-28 18:15:00
Description:

When it comes to U.S. foreign policy, the focus - for good reason - tends to fall on the White House. But the U.S. House and Senate are not toothless when it comes to foreign affairs, and often see the world in a different way than the president. A new CSIS study seeks to define how members of Congress in both parties view the U.S. role in the world, and comes up with a new lens with which to define members. We hear from the report's leaders Kathleen Hicks, Louis Lauter, and Colin McElhinny on what this means for U.S. leadership ahead of a contentious election season. Hosted by Colm Quinn.
