MBS (as he's sometimes called) has taken over the kingdom -- his father is nominally in charge -- but he's "looking for a new start...to remake the brand. It's like a startup pitch he's giving." The Saudis are entirely dependent on oil, but MBS wants to diversify -- he wants money and investors from the U.S. @karl_vick says the Saudis don't make any pretense that it's a democracy.
