Are the Nuggets good enough to reach the Western Conference finals?

Description: Host Nate Kreckman and Nuggets reporter Nick Kosmider recorded this podcast during the first quarter of Denver's 106-103 road victory over the Raptors, the team's sixth in a row and fourth straight on the road. In other words, feel free to add a sprinkle of extra optimism to the already rosy forecast Nate and Nick both have for a Nuggets team that has surpassed early expectations. They've done it behind a savvy veteran in Paul Millsap, whose defensive presence has spearheaded a remarkable turnaround on that end of the floor. They've done it with a bench unit that is among the NBA's best by nearly every measurement. They've done it all while missing Will Barton, a starter and one of the team's most ballyhooed offseason signings. And they've done it with star Nikola Jokic mired in a lengthy shooting slump, at least before Monday's triple-double masterpiece. So all of this early success, with another level seemingly attainable once Denver reaches full strength, begs the question: Can these Nuggets reach the Western Conference finals? And, as Golden State stumbles through what has already been a trying season, can they go even further than that? Join us for a lively 40-minute hoops discussion as Nate and Nick break down what has made the Nuggets hum, the difficult lineup decisions ahead and just what might be in store for this team come April.
