Your Frithcast roving reporters are proud to present a Frithcast XL from this years Derbyshire Pagans Lammas Camp.  It’s a fabulous long weekend filled with talks, workshops, lectures, demonstrations and traders, all coming together to do their thing.  From the opening Beating of the Bounds ceremony on Thursday evening to the entertainment on Friday evening, to the great Lammas ritual and Kate’s ‘Mind Bending Science Shit’ lecture on Saturday evening out under the stars, to Sunday Morning Storytime to finish the camp off, we’d like to give you a taste of some of the things that we got to experience.

Word of warning: as we’re outside for the majority of these recordings, so there’s noise from wind.  We’ve done or best to cut it out, and level the sound quality off, but let’s face it, there’s only so much you can do with sound quality recorded on a mobile phone in a windy field on a hilltop.  It adds to the homemade charm, really, it does ;)

Shout out to the Friday night entertainers:

Rena – sadly we couldn’t find a surname to credit her properly...

Beth Rees

Darren Ramsdale – “The Man with the Mandolin”

Warning: Darren’s set might just contain one song which is a little… shall we say … rude.  And perhaps a tad close to the wire for totally wholesome family entertainment.  Just sayin’.  Although it depends on the family, we suppose.  If you like songs about poo, then you’ll be just fine.
