Elon Musk is developing a supercomputer, nick-named Dojo, specially designed to train neural networks. In the R&D department tasked with development of the Tesla FSD (Full Self-Driving) system, there are not only 200 software developers working on the Autopilot software, along with more than a hundred hardware engineers tasked with building the Dojo supercomputer. Tesla Autopilot is a NN that is trained in a large data center using the huge pile of data Tesla has collected. All the Tesla cars on the road with FSD software onboard register traffic situations. The situations that can be used for training the NN are anonymized and uploaded to the Tesla datacenter. On this episode we explain what this potential can mean for Tesla.
