Fairy lights might look bright and sparkly to our eyes but compared to flash they are very dim indeed. Balancing the two can be tricky, but as Gavin Hoey shows in this video, it’s not impossible, all you need is a little time and a model who’s good at staying still.
After the shoot follow Gavin into Photoshop where he juggles the white balance to create a really eye catching festive portrait.
