Description: When an engine exploded on Southwest flight 1380 Wednesday, pilot Tammie Jo Shults calmly alerted air traffic control and prepared for an emergency landing in Philadelphia. "We are single engine," Shults, a former U.S. Navy pilot, said, according to a recording of the correspondence. "Part of it's missing," she added. "They said there's a hole and someone went out.
