Last year around this time. Damh the Bard was here introducing us to his new album, Y Mabinogi, the First Branch, which was an amazingly wonderful album of spoken tales and original songs narrated, composed and sung by Damh. The Mabinogion are the earliest prose stories of the literature of Britain. The stories were compiled in Middle Welsh in the 12th–13th centuries from earlier oral traditions, and Damh will be doing one album for each of the four branches over the course of the next few years. Now, as the wheel has come full circle, he has just completed and recently released his anxiously awaited album of tales and song from the Second Branch, and joined me to, pardon my pun, tell the tale of the tales.
