Michael Schwartz will examine the following teaching from the symbolic perspective: "The disciples said to Jesus: 'Tell us what the Kingdom of Heaven is like.' He said to them: 'It is like a mustard seed, smaller than all seeds. But when it falls on the tilled earth, it produces a large branch and becomes shelter for [the] birds of heaven.'" Here is the teaching in the New Testament: "It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it" (Luke 13:19). |
