Attention Badass Lady Gang! Our second annual summer series training experience is ON SALE NOW! What is the summer series? The summer series was born out of the isolation and chaos of 2020. After a few months in lockdown, social distancing, and an overwhelming sense that we were all struggling to feel motivated to do anything but cry, we wanted to find a way to connect those of us who weren’t feeling motivated by virtual races. The Summer Series was our very first training experience and focused fully on the process by asking participants to define why they run, what they’re running for, and what they want out of the training experience. We focused on the week at hand and unpacked what we were experiencing in a weekly training call which, miraculously, became the only zoom meeting we didn’t dread. Originally, we offered three different distances but a year (or decade really. We all can agree that 2020 was really a decade long right?) we’ve tweaked our summer series in a way to focus both on outcome goals AND process goals. This time? We’re focusing on one distance: The 5-Miler! How does the 5-miler work? How does it work? GREAT QUESTION GANG, our 12-week training experience will feature FIVE different challenges. Week 1: Mile time trial Week 4: 5 Miler #1 Week 6: Mile time trial #2 Week 8: 5 Miler #2 Week 12: 5 Miler #3 One of the best parts about our training experiences is that they give all of our participants a chance to focus on short-term, outcome goals while working to develop their mental game and having fun throughout the process. And because you have multiple different chances to beat your best, it’s not about PRs! Each time trial is a new opportunity to practice what you’re learning during training and see what happens when you give yourself your personal best. Can you beat your best in 12 weeks? ONLY TIME WILL TELL! Just remember, the only way you can really fail is if you fail to try! Summer running is a struggle. Why struggle alone with you can struggle with your favorite Badass Lady Gang? FAQQ: Who is this program good for? A: Runners who are looking to find connection, support, accountability, and fun as they survive summer running. Q: I can’t run a mile…can I join? A: YES! This program is perfect for everyone from brand new runners to runners looking to build strength, stamina, or have more fun on the run! Q: I have never done speed work before and it freaks me out. Is this training experience for me? A: YES! Our weekly coaching calls will help you build the mental strength necessary to step outside of your comfort zone and redefine what you think you’re capable of. Let’s rename speed work with speed play because it really is all about PLAY. These training experiences are really about teaching each participant what goes into a training plan so that you can adapt and customize the plan to work with your schedule. Some weeks, you’ll skip speed play or a long run. That’s ok! FLEXIBILITY is the name of the game! I don’t want running to run your life. Think of this like virtual summer camp for badass ladies! Q: I can’t afford $175 for a training program. Do you offer scholarships? A: YES! CLICK HERE to apply for a scholarship to join the BALG Training Team. Q: I’m on the BALG Training Team. How do I join the program? A: All members of the BALG Training Team get complimentary access to this training program. Head to the 2021 private BALG Team Group in our online community to fill out the form to get registered. Q: I hate virtual races. Is this program a good fit for me? A: YES. Whether you’re registered to run races IRL this year or not, this program is all about the training process and journey. We’ll spend the first few weeks defining what your goals are and what is intrinsically motivating you. Once we do that, showing up to push it during your time trials becomes a lot more fun. Q: I registered but haven’t heard anything. When will I hear from you? A: All program participants will receive an email on May 26th with all the information they need to get their program set up on VDOT and join the private group in our online community. Q: Can I upgrade to the BALG Team after I register? A: YES! If you decide to upgrade to the training team, your registration fee will go towards your team upgrade. If you’d like to upgrade, email at info@badassladygang.com. QUESTIONS? EMAIL ME! And get ready to beat your best!!!! -Coach Kelly |
