His attitude and behaviour towards children was one which was full of compassion, love, justice and mercy. Despite being the leader of the Muslims, leading them into battle and conducting himself with leaders of various Arab tribes, he would adopt a playful and caring attitude when it came to spending time with children. His softness and leniency towards children serve as a prime example on how we should behave and treat children.  Rasulullah ﷺ was blessed with many daughters and was often mocked by the Quraysh of Makkah for not having any sons to continue his lineage. This was at a time where daughters were looked down upon and mistreated, however the Prophet ﷺ treated his daughters with much love and affection. Many examples can be found of the Prophet's ﷺ love for his daughters, especially those who saw how he would treat and behave with his beloved daughter Fāṭimah رضي الله عنها, often raising from where he sat to give her his seat. The Prophet ﷺ also demonstrated showing love and affection equally to all children, regardless of whether they were a relation to him or not. If we could but act on his conduct, we would have a society much happier and healthy towards children.
