Bitcoin is trading around an all-time high.A single coin surpassed the $1,200 dollar mark on Friday, according to the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index. The run-up in price has been driven in part by speculation that the Securities and Exchange Commission could soon authorize the creation of the first bitcoin-focused exchange-traded fund.
