Dr. Paul Anastas, known as the Father of Green Chemistry, was recognized in 2005 as one of the most influential people in science and technology in the Scientific American 50. Dr. Anastas has served in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy as Assistant Director for Environment. Prior to joining the White House in 1999, Dr. Anastas was Chief of the Industrial Chemistry Branch of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency since 1989.
