Before Jesus came to earth, God - because He is holy - had to remain separated from His people because of their sins. It was Jesus’ perfect sacrifice of His death on the cross that broke the barrier between God and us, so that now we can have access to Him (through Christ's blood) at any time and any place, and we can approach Him boldly!
