Description: Alright, on today's episode it's my pleasure to talk with Patricia Jackson of Substance Abuse Services about how you can lead substance abusers to water, but you can't make them drink. We discuss using EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), hypnotherapy and other alternative techniques to solve craving challenges and other addiction issues. We talk about marijuana, how the legalizing of weed has created some challenges in CO. We also chat about "waking up" in addiction recovery and realizing your "best" friends have vanished. We also even touch base on the upcoming presidential election and the pain it's causing so many. Patricia has been working in the addiction recovery field for 34 years and has seen a lot of change. She is based in Colorado, where the legalization of marijuana has presented some unique challenges. Patricia is well versed in nearly every addiction area you can throw at her and works with individuals, families and anyone touched by addiction.
