Alcoholism is rampant in the USA. While there are many different statistics, most recovery experts agree that about 30% of Americans, or maybe even more, struggle with alcohol on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
This 30% of Americans are either dependent upon or addicted to alcohol. And for years we've been fed a huge lie about the clause and even the treatment of this disease.
Number one best-selling author, counselor, life coach, addiction recovery coach and speaker David Essel for over 24 years now has been trying to wake America up regarding the real cause and the real treatment for this condition. But it's not an easy path.
The lies, which are so unfortunate, began with the medical community and then trickle down to some very famous organizations like Alcoholics Anonymous.
The biggest lie of them all according to Essel, is that alcoholism is caused by our genetics. And while studies have proven that there is a gene connected to alcoholism, Essel says that has nothing to do with how and why people begin drinking.
