Description: Hot Cross Bun and Butter Pudding This is a brilliant use of oldish hot cross buns and jolly lovely they are too! We already have a recipe for Hot Cross Buns at: https://www.kitchennewbie.com/recipes/baking-recipes/hot-cross-buns/ You will need For 6 to 8 people 4 Hot Cross Buns Lots of butter for the slices and also a large oven proof dish 4 eggs 50 g soft brown sugar 650 milk 150 ml double cream Grated zest of a lemon Lay the slices of buttered buns on top of each other in the dish Wish together the eggs and sugar, adding the milk, cream and lemon zest Leave to soak for 30 minutes no more than 40 minutes Sprinkle with Demerara sugar and place into a preheated oven at 180ºC, 350ºF, Gas 4 Bake for 25 minutes Leave to settle for 30 minutes and served with cream, ice-cream or anything.
