Marzipan, or almond paste is easy to make, and so much better than shop bought.
With egg:
200 g ground almonds
100 g golden caster sugar
100 g icing sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 tsp brandy
No egg 1:
300 g ground almonds
200 g icing sugar
50 ml cold water
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 tsp lemon juice
No egg 2 German style marzipan:
150 g ground almonds
150 g icing sugar
3 tablespoons rose water
(Or use orange blossom water)
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 tsp cinnamon
No egg 3:
200 g icing sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
Water
1 tsp brandy
200 g ground almonds |
