Ingredients 200 g butter 200 g sugar 3 tablespoons of syrup 400 g porridge oats Preheat the oven to 170 C, 325 F, Gas 3 Butter an 18 by 27 cm pan and line with baking parchment In a large pan melt the butter, sugar and syrup together Stir in the oats and mix well, making sure everything is coated Bake for 20 to 25 minutes Cut into slices while still warm and allow to cool completely in the tin Various variations! Dip in chocolate Add dried fruit Dessicated coconut Use treacle instead of syrup, or a mixture of the two Use maple syrup
