Chilli is one of the staples we all fall back on sometime, but when we were young, our mothers never made it!
1 large onion
3 garlic cloves
1 red pepper
Chop all very finely and fry them together.
500 g pork or beef mince, or combine.
Add to the pan and fry for a couple of minutes
Add 1 hot red chilli, or 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1level tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp oregano
Mix these together and then add to the cooking meat
Add 500 ml passata, 2 tsp soft brown sugar, 400 g red kidney beans2 tablespoons of fresh chopped parsley.
Cook for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat and cook for 40 minutes, covered, stirring occasionally. |
