Golden Oat Biscuits
These quick and easy biscuits are so versatile, you can turn them into almost any flavour you like.
150 g butter
100 g Soft Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons Golden Syrup
40 g oats
200 g Plain Flour
On a low light melt together the butter, syrup and sugar
Sift the the flour and add the oats, mix well
Pour the melted mixture into the flour and oats and mix well, beating with a wooden spoon into a ball
Grease and line two baking trays and spoon a dessert spoon of mixture leaving 3 cm all around
Bake at 180ºC, 350ºF, Gas 4 for 12 minutes
Allow the to cool
You can dust them with icing sugar, add 20 g Cocoa powder, lemon zest, almost anything - including the famous place cherry! |
