Description:
Are we living in the END TIMES? Is this Coved-19 Corona Virus the plague of plagues? Are state governors handling this crisis rationally, rightly or causing unnecessary panic? The government officials have the responsibility to protect their citizens but not subdue them with fear. Fear is one of the enemy's most popular weapons that he uses against us. Worry, anxiety and fear can overwhelm us with a thick cloud of darkness, controlling our every move and decision. We as citizens and certainly as Christians would be wise to pray on that. The faith of your governor is made evident in this same principle. Are he or she instilling a calming sense of leadership or alarming you and your state with more than what is prudent protections. The governor of Virginia commanded a "Stay at home" order through mid-June. It's now only the end of March. Is this calm leadership that trusts in the Lord? Each person can conclude for themselves. This podcast is not about the government but about what God is doing in our life despite good or bad government decisions to shut down the world. I am no different from any of you-I am very concerned and get worried just like anyone else. I have to stop myself and remember WHO is in control. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind". Despite the media's alarm to increase the emotion and the governments good policies or in some cases political posturing in an election year, let's remember that as Christians-we have the SUPERNATURAL God to depend on, lean on, and trust in. Perhaps, this is why God in part has allowed the Corona virus to take place. Let's be in prayer and in the Word of God-asking God to take us THROUGH this time of crisis and to provide for us spiritually, financially and with a supernatural calmness while we are in it. As Christians the world is looking to us regarding how we handle the crisis in our own lives. We have an incredible opportunity to truly increase our faith by remaining calm and soberly going before the Lord daily by request to help us maintain and even increase in this difficult time. A good start point for us is to think and do as the old adage says, "Keep calm and carry on". I pray that we can start this day and each day while in this crisis and even after-doing just that. Is it the End Times? I sense not but that can happen any day. Our focus is to be on the Lord, in prayer and in His Word daily-depending on him. May God bless you in this journey and us together as a body of Christ in reaching a lost world for Jesus Christ. And remember, Keep calm and carry on" with what the Lord has given us today.
