I have a theory that in 2007 two events occurred that altered the mindset of the modern-day real estate consumer. The first one was obviously a great recession. The effects linger to this day with homeowners and potential purchasers reluctant to buy homes without knowing for sure with the future of the market will hold. Buyers always think they’re paying too much and sellers always think that they can wait one more day. The other event was the iPhone was released. This gave the consumer the power and availability of information to make an educated or uneducated choice when I came to the biggest investment in their life.
