How and Why Sexual Predators in US Politics are Getting Free Passes

Category: Health
Duration: 01:02:00

Description: Now it’s NBC’s Matt Lauer and Public Radio’s Garrison Keillor. Big names in Hollywood and the media continue to fall from the flood of sexual misconduct charges. But in Washington, politicians facing similar complaints remain in office.  Constitutional law professor Kimberly Wehle joins us to discuss why it’s easier to “can and ban” accused sexual predators in Hollywood than it is in DC. She examines the Constitutional reasons that deliberately make it hard to punish elected officials. Kimberly Wehle is a University of Baltimore Law Professor, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and associate independent counsel in the Whitewater investigation.
