The Scorpio Full Moon will be exact on Saturday, May 18 at 2:11 PM PDT, 5:11 PM EDT at 27 degrees Scorpio/Taurus.

The annual Scorpio Full Moon is often the most transformative Full Moon of the year as Scorpio symbolizes metamorphosis, empowerment, surrender and profound healing. While all Full Moons tend to illuminate, in Scorpio it can be especially intensified because often what is brought to light is that which has been hidden, and secret for a long time. Only when we illuminate darkness can we access soul-level healing.

This is also known as the Wesak Moon, the Moon under which it is said that the Buddha attained enlightenment. In my talk with Evolutionary Astrologer and Past Life Regressionist Patricia Walsh on the Radiant Astrology Podcast, she enlightens us on the special significance of the Wesak Moon in the esoteric traditions and it’s potential for cosmic alignment and blessings. She also explores the Sabian Symbols of both the Sun and Moon for this alignment and how they signal returning what belongs to us, perhaps even a return ourselves.
