UK sight loss charity RNIB, could not provide the wide range of services to blind and partially sighted customers without their dedicated volunteers.
They help in a variety of roles and can give as much time as they are comfortable with, as every hour is gratefully appreciated.
Saturday 5th December is International Volunteer Day, where we celebrate our fantastic volunteers and highlight their vital support.
RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Helena Pellier, from RNIB, and Martin, a volunteer Sooty Box collector.
We find out how the boxes support the organisations work, why Martin got involved and encourage you to become a volunteer.
