At some point in our lives, many of us will think about volunteering for a variety of reasons.

Volunteer Services Overseas works in many of the world's poorest areas and strives, with it's volunteers, to make a positive impact.

The charity offers places to blind and partially sighted young people, with funding provided, to help build new skills while allowing them to show their abilities, strengths and personality.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Emma Guilfoyle, VSO, and Mahomed Khatri, a blind volunteer, to learn more about the work and how people can get involved.
