Arts and Theatre productions are slowly starting to reappear on our social calendars, albeit with plenty of masks and social distancing. Wembley Park Theatre, for example, has been reduced from a 1,200 capacity to 400.
One of the 400 in attendance for 'Sleepless: A Musical Romance' was Tim Calvert, who reviews the play in the latest AVOA.
'Sleepless' was due to begin in March, until COVID19 caused all manner of closures and cancellations. Now, around six months later than planned, it returns to the boards, becoming the first musical to open in London for an indoor audience since the pandemic began.
This musical romance is based on the original screenplay ‘Sleepless in Seattle’, which starred Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, and is on till Sunday 27th of September.
