When someone loses their sight, rehabilitation training should begin, with their local council, 3 months after registration and application.
However, for 1 RNIB customer, the battle to secure her rehab has lasted 2 years.
Finally, after support from RNIB, an Ombudsman's decision was given in favour of the customer and her life can begin once again.
RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Danny Dooney who worked on the case to learn more.
