The purpose of her visit was to hear from visually impaired people who will be directly effected by the devolvement of certain welfare payments to the Scottish Parliament. It gave service users the chance to talk about their hopes, and concerns, around the administration, assessement processes and delivery of the new department, that will soon be responsible for a range of benefits, including Personal Independence Payments (PIP) which many blind people are entitled to. RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell went along to the meeting to hear from Shirley-Anne Somerville MSP and the gathered invitees... #RNIBConnect
