This week I chat with Brett Lockspeiser, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Sefaria.  Sefaria is a non-profit organization dedicated to building the future of Jewish learning in an open and participatory way. They are assembling a free living library of Jewish texts and their interconnections, in Hebrew and in translation. Prior to co-founding Sefaria, Brett studied symbolic systems at Stanford University and started his career at Google where, as a Product Manager, he developed data driven consumer web applications.

We chat about open source Jewish texts, what prompted him to leave the tech world to co-found Sefaria, and how he hopes Sefaria can change the landscape of Jewish texts.

Intro music: What Is My Lifespan/Noah Aronson, Someday/Michelle Citrin
