We kick off the third season of POE with a fantastic conversation about the problems within our process of publishing research that often interferes with disseminating information accurately to the public. Dr Chris Ferguson joins Michael for a conversation about how research is made int he behavioral sciences. Dr Ferguson is a professor of psychology at Stetson University near Orlando, Fl. His main areas of research are in violent behavior, and also media effects, particularly video game violence, thin ideal media and “sexy media.” He has also written numerous short stories as well as a novel, Suicide Kings (a mystery novel set in 15th century Florence.) He lives in Orlando with his wife and son.
You can find out more about Dr. Ferguson at his website here, or on Twitter. Also, check out his novel here.
