I was a student-athlete. Played on Mercer's division 1 baseball team as a right-handed pitcher all 4 years during my time there. My junior year I won the 1st-team all-conference award, and won it again my senior year, along with the All-Tournament MVP award when I through a complete game shutout in the championship game with a torn meniscus is my left knee. Was recruited by the Tornado Blue Jays to play in their minor league system, but did not end up signing with them because I was unhealthy.
