Description: The love for the electric guitar was on the rise in the 1980s, and it seemed that everyone started wanting custom guitars. Scott Buehl and Justin Stewart work in the Fender Custom Shop and they have some great stories to share. These days there are so many different styles of guitars, but Scott thinks that the founder of Fender, Leo Fender, got it right the first time. The first Fender guitar was created in the 1940s, and to this day the Custom Shop still uses tools that Leo himself bought. They still make everything by hand, right down to the shaping, sanding and carving. They are refining old school methods with new age technology, and are producing some pretty unique pieces.
