Without their support, I would not be free to work on projects that I am passionate about. I would also have a lot more trepidations about just telling things how they are as I see them, which is exactly what I have done today (right or wrong). In the past, I've been very hesitant to solicit direct support from viewers (and I still am). But just as I see that the gaming press is bound by the chains of publishers (while standing on pillars created by them), there are pressures on me as well; I'm cognizant of that fact. What I have found, though, is that direct support from viewers greatly lessens those pressures, and it emboldens me to just speak out on topics I'd probably otherwise avoid. That's a personal flaw; I know that. But I acknowledge it. I have principles, but I also have a family, and it's frankly a hard balance between the two at times. That's also why I don't think ill (anymore) of journalists who are caught in the system out there. Patreon: www.patreon.com/epicnamebro
