Harvey Rosenfield, founder of Consumer Watchdog and author of California’s long-standing and far-reaching auto insurance regulation, Proposition 103, just came out with a report titled Self Driving vehicles: The Threat to Consumers.” In the report he contends the insurance and auto industries are preparing to exploit autonomous vehicles to force Americans to pay more for auto insurance. He spoke with Insurance Journal about his contentions and his new report.
