Danielle Walker joined us today from Against All Grain.
For those that don’t know she’s the author of the book Against all Grain and Meals Made Easy. We don’t own the 2nd one yet but Kate and I really like Against all Grain a lot. Kate has made many a recipe from that book and they’re just so delicious and might I say, delectable?
It’s fun to talk about recipes and how to cook really great food that taste amazing but we spent the first half of the show discussing her story with healing her ulcerative colitis without drugs or surgery. For those that have an auto immune disorder, you’ll want to hear this show most definitely.
I know a lot listeners to this show and friends who have all manner of digestive diseases like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s Disease, indigestion, stomach aches, cramping and poor bowel movements.
As you know all disease comes from the colon and our ability to digest, assimilate and absorb the nutrients in the food we eat.
Keeping good colon health is imperative if you want to live a healthy and long life without the need to take pharmaceutical medications.
We talked about how she overcame her diagnosis and how she thrives today eating more of a Paleo type diet along with specific supplements to help her gut heal and function normally.
Then we discussed her approach to cooking and the reason why it’s cool to spend time in the kitchen preparing food. It’s a sacred act. It’s one of the deepest acts of self love and self care a person could do for themselves.
We hope you enjoyed our interview with Danielle Walker as much as we did and if you did would you consider clicking “like” and “share” on this page to let your friends and family know about the work he is doing?
Kate and I would greatly appreciate that! |
