Description: Ramloti is the founder of The Haidakhandi Universal Ashram in the rural mountains of Crestone Colorado. Ramloti received her name from the spirit teacher Shri Haidakhan Wale Babaji. Ramloti means the one who carries God inside of them at all times. In 1981 Ramloti (Debby at the time) felt called to find Babaji and took a flight to India from the US with one hundred dollars in her pocket. She was a single mother in the middle of earning her masters degree in phycology. It took Ramloti weeks to find Babaji, but once she did he asked her to build an ashram of his teachings in the United States. In 1986 Ramloti began building the Haidakhandi Universal Ashram, and she still lives there today along with two other permanent devotees and hundreds of travelers through out the year. The teachings of the ashram are love, devotion, and service. Free and open to the public, anyone can come to the ashram, enjoy their organic vegetarian food, and help work on what ever needs to get done that day. In this conversation Ramloti and I discuss the teachings of Babaji, the path towards living a more meaningful and fulfilling life, and the strategies for developing a more loving relationship with yourself.
