Can local government protect us from the enormities being perpetrated by the White House? Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer is not entirely comforting, and yet it is encouraging to hear a public official with knowledge of her profession, respect for (and from) her constituents, and a fundamental sense of decency - qualities not conspicuous around the Oval Office. It's also nice to hear musicians Ben Holmes and Brad Sheik. An evening at JCC Manhattan.
