I've given patients/ athletes/ weekend warriors the lecture way too many times... you need to attain baseline physical abilities before you should play a sport. An example, if you can not start, stop, slow, change direction, squat, jump and land properly without the indicators of high risk for an ACL injury then you should not be playing soccer.
Lets break down what is needed to do all of those properly... well you need a strong core/ pelvis and normalization of movement patterns to name a few. This podcast is my idea of presenting these baseline goals for our patients/ clients so they know what is expected of them before they can return to play safely.
