The bring-your-own-device (BYOD) trend has arrived; and it is here to stay. BYOD has become a way for companies to reduce costs and increase the productivity by allowing users to leverage their own devices for business purposes. BYOD really means allowing personal devices to connect to the corporate network, but this does not mean that users can connect theirr own device and run their applications without control. Access control and policies must be applied BYOD poses challenges for IT administrators looking to tackle security, governance, and network management when employees are allowed to use their own personal devices on the corporate network.
