Today’s Weekly Show takes to the ether to explore the evolving world of wireless. We start with an update on 802.11ac, a wireless standard that promises gigabit throughput over the air. Wave 2 products are coming online and we discuss where marketing and reality diverge.

We also explore the benefits of multi-user MIMO for increasing data rates, discuss upgrade paths, and look at other standards including 802.11ax. We also touch on wireless and IoT, and how organizations are finding ways to monetize wireless.
