Description:

If you don t know how to program, you re probably going to be out of a job. That message has been trickling into the networking industry recently as talk about automation, orchestration, and software-defined everything has ramped up. But is it true? And just what does programming mean in a networking context?

We ve invited a few guests with some strong opinions to dig into this topic, break it down, and, we hope, provide a more clear picture of what s happening in networking, where it s going, and what kind of skillsets are going to be valuable over the next decade.

Joining us are Russ White, a frequent Packet Pushers guest and a network architect at LinkedIn. We ll also be hearing from Steve Hood, a network engineer, and Matt Oswalt, a software engineer with a strong networking background.
