We bring you another entrant to the Future of Networking series. Our guest is Mark Townsley, a Fellow at Cisco Systems and part-time professor at Ecole Polytechnique in Paris. Mark s been involved with IPv6 quite a bit over the past decade. June 8th was the 6th anniversary of the World IPv6 Day 6 years ago, and June 6th marked the anniversary of the World IPv6 Launch 5 years ago.
We are going to talk with Mark about what it was like to be a part of these events, what has happened with IPv6 on the Internet since, and then peer into the future through the lens of the research taking place at Cisco s Paris Innovation and Research Lab (PIRL) that he co-founded in 2015.
Note that this is not a sponsored show. Mark wears a lot of hats, and he s talking to us today as a person of interest in the IPv6 community, and not as a spokesperson for his employer.
