Description:

Take a Network Break! We’re joined this week by Mike Fratto, a principal analyst at Current Analysis. We examine the motivations for Citrix’s spin-out of the GoTo business line and check in on a customer survey on the Dell/EMC acquisition.

We parse some market numbers on SDN, examine Nokia’s role in the Open Compute Project, and drill into Cisco’s announcement that it’s opening its IOS software to third parties.

We also poke a little fun at the latest open consortium (this one’s for fog computing), and scratch our heads at Google’s ambitions around cloud revenue.

And this episode sees the debut of Packet Releases, a new feature of the show in which Ethan shares a speed round of the latest vendor releases.
