Description: It's our podcast and we'll cry if we want to and something something. OK, Land of Ten's Scott Dochterman and I didn't cry. Not today. At least not during the podcast. Maybe we turned it off a few times. Maybe. We grew up Cubs fans. We've had moments of faith, despair and levels of abandonment. You can only take so many kicks to the _____. Last night was the payoff of a lifetime. So yeah, we talked some Cubs, just some. As far as the Hawkeyes go, we talked a lot about TDPG. Let's see who can figure that out. It's not difficult. What part of this team drives you the most crazy? You can already kind of piece it together. We talked a little more than maybe we wanted to on Friday nights and the Big Ten. As B1G school revenues become more driven by TV, schools are going to give TV what they want. Friday night gives the B1G another window and adds to a dramatic increase in prime-time games. It's a logical extension of the tide that's washing up. Still, the Big Ten is prospecting in some convenient logic here. It's said for years, Fridays are for preps. And now they're not. And now the Big Ten can't exactly claim high ground. Where does this stop? Scott talked about Black Friday remaining exclusive to Iowa and Nebraska. Um sure, let's see how long that lasts. We took your #oniowapod Twitter questions and over/unders. I liked @jerrymills and his suggestion of Craig Bohl for Purdue coach. Bohl came up with a signature win last week when Wyoming toppled Boise State. I loved @nickcapaldo's suggestion of doing a helmet decal to honor the fallen Des Moines and Urbandale officers in the central Iowa tragedy this week. Logistics might be impossible at this point, but, yes, that would be great to see. I love that Iowa State is adding a helmet decal this weekend. (Our hearts go out to the families, friends and departments. Prayers and peace to all.) @thejud22 gets right to the point with this over/under: The number of Iowa wins in November: 1.5 victories. That's a good one. Listen for the answer. Thanks everyone for participating.
