Description: Land of Ten's Scott Dochterman started this whole Joe Philbin thing Wednesday night. On the Kirk Ferentz radio show, the Iowa head coach mentioned that, hey, Joe Philbin was at the Michigan game. Ferentz said he met with him in the postgame and then Philbin and his family jetted back to Indianapolis for his daughter's volleyball game. Scott innocently tweeted this. I immediately responded with "No, no, no, no. No. Nope. Uh uh." Too late. You guys were all over it. I'm pretty sure most of you were kidding. I thought the "With Philbin, the Hawkeyes will win" bumper stickers and T-shirts were a little over the top, but it made the whole "Joe Philbin for Iowa offensive coordinator" campaign seem that much more authentic. I'm pretty sure most of you were kidding. Either way, no, Iowa's offense didn't look appreciably better against Michigan. It still has a passing problem (BTW, I saw Matt VandeBerg walking around this week and no boot or crutches or anything on his broken foot). BUT IOWA STILL BEAT MICHIGAN Do you need to put your Greg Davis pitchfork into storage for next year? Well . . . I think maybe, and it might depend on what Davis wants to do (notice I'm singing a much different tune than last week, but, as Scott said on the pod, let's see what happens in the next three games). We missed Craig's question on the bigger upset, Iowa over Michigan or the HawkeyeNation podcast getting a beer sponsor before #oniowapod. Craig, this will remain one of life's great oddities. Is Keith Duncan a legend? That kick is. His foot is. I guess by extension, Keith Duncan is a legend. Nine kicks into his career, he's a legend. I think he'll handle it fine. We did some future talk with Iowa football. Who's going to play DT next year? Good question. Over/under on Wadley touches for Saturday's game at Illinois -- 23.5. I think we both went with the under.
