Curtis Strange is back to talk about Shinnecock Hills in advance of next week’s U.S. Open, as well as to share some stories from his days playing the U.S. Open, which includes winning both the ’88 and ’89 renditions. He talks about his ideal U.S. Open setup, what courses he liked playing and which ones he didn’t, and which skills he believes are best tested at these events. We also included about 15 minutes of audio (40:47 mark) from our interview in early May with Paul Azinger which discusses his transition to Fox, Joe Buck, Shinnecock, and more. Thanks to both of these major champions for taking the time to preview one of the best weeks in golf.
